Canadians need to know Canada.

I am just coming to the final chapters in the book edited by Bob Rae ‘Reclaiming Canadian Sovereignty in a Ruptured World’ — Chapter 21 by Sabreena Delhon ‘Canadians Need to know Canada’.

‘We do not have a robust infrastructure that supports an informed Canadian citizenry and inoculates us against threats to our sovereignty’ p.259.

Other chapters include:
Don Tapscott’s ‘Digital Sovereignty is both National and Personal’ — Chapter 19.
Lloyd Axworthy’s ‘Sovereignty and Trumpism” — Chapter 22.

I agree wholeheartedly with Sabreena Delhon. From my perspective of Geography, it is critical that Canadians understand the landscape, its natural and cultural resources. Plus the impact of modern technologies on the management of our Canadian Sovereignty.

To participate in decision making in rural Nova Scotia, it is critical to have access to the tools of AI, GIS and High Speed Internet; to be familiar with the Internet, and to be able to store and control the results in a domestic cloud.
